Hello 2024 Hammerheads!

Excited for the upcoming season? Me too! We've got an awesome lineup of events planned, including team-building sessions, meets, Fun Fridays, and even a trip to GaTech Aquatic Center. Plus, we've got an amazing coaching team lined up.

As a heads up, I'll be your go-to for timely updates. With over 75 families on board, I'll ensure you have all the info you need to navigate the season smoothly. Stay tuned for a Google Calendar with all practice, meet, and event details.

Meet and Greet: Mark your calendars for May 6, 4–6pm, at the Harrington Falls Clubhouse. One parent from each family is required to attend.

Swim Evaluations May 14: For all new swimmers, an evaluation is required. We understand that skills and strength may need a refresh, however it’s key to note Coach Support Practice isn't swim lessons. I can not stress enough that if your swimmer needs lessons prior to swim team practice starting, please get them lessons. We'll evaluate swimmers on May 14 and 15 (please come to your regular age group practice time on both days). We'll recommend swimmers for Coach Support Practice (CSP) by email before practice starts on Thursday May 16. During CSP, a coach is in each lane assisting swimmers with proper swim technique and basic stroke development. The goal is to graduate from CSP to train in your designated age group's practice.

Closing Registration: Encourage friends to register before April 16th to avoid late fees. Registration closes before our Meet and Greet on May 6. We need more boys, especially 11 and up!

Volunteer Sign-ups: After early April, expect an email assigning you to a volunteer committee and shifts for the season.

Team Suit: Find details on our website. Remember, swim team suits fit snugly. You can try them on at Swim Atlanta Johns Creek and order from our website. You’ll need goggles, however nothing fancy is required. If your swimmer has outgrown their suit, let me know and I’ll post a buy, sale, trade through our team Facebook page.

Sponsorship: We are seeking sponsors for the 2024 season. Funds support various team expenses. Interested? Contact Tara Casey (404) 918-7186 or Aron Canouse (404) 434-1583. Sponsorship funds cover coaching salaries, maintenance of swim team equipment, supplies for swim team events, and printing t-shirts that all swimmers wear at swim meets. Sponsors will receive signage recognition, as well as, public address announcements throughout the meet. Please see attachment for Sponsorship Levels.
