Mandatory Meet & Greet May 6:

On Monday, May 6, we will host a drop-in event from 4–6pm, to meet the coaches, and order your official team suit (this will be your last chance to order). At least one parent from each family must attend; your swimmer is welcome to attend but not required.

Mock Meet May 22 (and Pictures):

On Wednesday May 22, Sportography will be taking individual and team pictures before the Mock Meet. Team Suits will need to be worn to Mock Meet due to photos. Note - We will have a full concession stand so plan on eating dinner with the Hammerheads!

• 4:45pm - Individual Pictures begin
• 6:00pm - Team picture
• 6:30pm - Mock Meet begins

Swim Meet Schedule:

• 5/30 AWAY @Pennbrooke (off Old Milton Pkwy near Andie’s Frozen Custard) arrive at 4:30pm
• 6/6 AWAY @Windward (off Webb Bridge) arrive at 4:30pm
• 6/13 HOME v. Hampton Hall (Grandparent Appreciation Meet) arrive at 4:00pm
• 6/20 HOME v. Saddle Creek arrive at 4:00pm
• 6/25 HOME v. Wexford arrive at 4:00pm
• 6/27 optional ASA Meet @ GaTech 9:30am Session (arrive at GaTech at 8am)

Night Practice:

The night practice calendar has been posted to the SignUp Calendar on the team website. We will have night practice for those who miss practice because of working parents or other summer camps. Night practice will be open to all age groups except the Coach Supported Practice Group. Practice will be on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30–6:30 pm. Evening practice is limited to 24 spaces. No exceptions! Sign up will close as soon as the practice is full.

Volunteer Shifts Committees:

Our Volunteer Chairs have created volunteer shifts and assigned members to committees. If you have not received an email with your volunteer committee please let me know as soon as possible. Note - If you have special circumstances (new baby, pregnancy, post-surgery etc.), we have opportunities available only for those cases. Let me know so we can make accommodations. Please remember, a family can only sign up for a maximum of 2 shifts per meet. I noticed that some families have 3 or 4 shifts during one meet, making us short at other meets. Please take the time to fix it. Also if you know your swimmer is going to swim at the ASA GaTech meet please sign up to volunteer at that meet.

(Position) Bullpen Liasion (pairing with Kristen Lynch):

• Responsible for communicating with coaches and computer operators prior to and during the meet regarding changes in races or heats
• Informs each age-group Bullpen of appropriate changes to the Heat Sheet
• Provides support to Bullpen Parents during meets
• Provides support to Junior Coaches running the Pre-Deck holding area

(Position) Team Photographer:

• Responsible for taking pictures throughout the season
• Organizes the team slide show for end-of-season banquet

Team Colors & Hammerhead Merch:

Last year we had a fun and vivacious Senior Boy swimmer named Zach Moir. Zach liked to dress up like a banana at our swim meets, the younger swimmers loved it. This year Zach is returning as a coach! We know the banana costume will be back, so the coaching staff decided this summer we will “spoof” off the Savannah Bananas. Our team colors for 2024 are yellow, royal blue and navy. If you have anything banana please wear it or bring it out for spirit to the swim meets. We are going to try to encorporate “GO BANANAS” into our team cheer before the start of each meet as well!

• New this year, our team suit provider Reddiset is offering a variety of spirit wear items for our team including hats, sweatshirts, and towels.
• Additionally, you can order a team shirt, tank, or polo on our very own Hammerhead store. Shirt order closes today.
