Harrington Falls Swim Team | 2026 Season Information & Registration Dates
Dear Harrington Falls Swim Team Families,
I seem to always write this email during the coldest days of the year! I hope this message finds you well and just as excited as I am for the upcoming 2026 swim season.
Thank you so much for your patience between the holidays, work, and other commitments, I’m a little behind getting this out. But I’m officially ready to dive back into another fun and successful summer swim season!
Registration Dates
- Returning Families: Opens 3/4/26 at 9:00 AM
- New Families: Opens 3/5/26 at 9:00 AM
Important Dates
- Mandatory Meet & Greet:
Tentatively scheduled for Sunday, 4/26/26, 1:00–3:00 PM at the Harrington Falls Clubhouse - Afternoon Practices Begin:
Monday, 5/11/26 (the Monday following Mother’s Day)
Practice times are based on age groups listed on the website.
Age groups are determined by a May 31st birthday. - Practice Break:
No practice from 5/21–5/25
We hope everyone enjoys the last day of school and Memorial Day weekend.
Mock Meet / Time Trials
Most likely, we will not have a mock meet this season. With two graduations this year (middle school and elementary school), it’s just too much to squeeze one in before school ends.
Instead, we’re trying something new this year:
- Time Trials will be held during the first summer morning practice on 5/26/26 so all swimmers will have seed times before our first meet.
Summer Practices
- Summer Morning Practices Begin: 5/26/26
Time trials will take place during this practice. Practices times are listed on website. - Summer Evening Practices:
Mondays and Wednesdays
Limited to 24 spots, first come, first serve.
Evening practice registration opens 4/15/26 at 9am.
Meet & Event Schedule
- Swim Meets:
5/28/26, 6/4/26, 6/11/26, 6/18/26, 6/23/26 (Tuesday) - Fun Fridays @ 9:00 AM:
5/29/26, 6/5/26, 6/12/26, 6/19/26 - ASA GaTech Meet:
Potentially morning session on June 25th - End-of-Season Banquet:
Evening of June 25th
Note: Official home and away schedules will be finalized after spring break.
Volunteer Information
- Volunteer Requirement:
Each family is required to complete 5 volunteer shifts during the season.
Sign-ups will open at the end of April once home and away schedules are finalized. - Chair Positions:
Current chair holders, please confirm if you plan to continue in your role for the 2026 season.
If you’re interested in taking on a chair position—which includes a reserved parking spot for home meets—please reach out to me.
Junior Coach Applications
- Eligibility: Rising 8th graders and above
- Application Deadline: 2/23/26 at noon

If your family or business is interested in sponsoring the team for the 2026 season, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to me or our Sponsorship Chairs. Sponsorship levels are listed on the website.
Important Rule Updates for 2026
Please review these updates carefully to avoid any confusion during the season:
- Swimmers must be 4 years old by 5/31/26 to register for the 2026 swim season.
- Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unattended to compete in 2026 swim meets. There are no exceptions.
Coaches will not be permitted in the pool to assist swimmers during meets. - Swimmers in coach-support practice who are unable to swim the length of the pool will not be eligible to compete in meets.
- Each family is still responsible for completing their 5 volunteer shifts, regardless of meet eligibility.
Now is the perfect time to begin swim lessons—whether for a refresher or for new swimmers joining the team. Don’t wait! Let’s get ready for an amazing summer season.
