- The last week of school the practice schedule may vary a little. We will have evening practice Monday, 5/18 and Tuesday 5/19. If our last day of school changes to Wednesday, 5/20 we will not have practice this day because Harrington Falls Neighborhood has a BIG end of school party at the pool on the last day of school. There is a possibility we will have practice on Thursday 5/21 to make up the practice day. We will send out more information about this week as it becomes available from Fulton County Schools.
Summer Practices
Summer Morning Practices: Begin 5/26/26 and are every week Monday-Thursday through 6/23/26

It is not required for you to be at every practice. We understand families have camps and vacations. However, the more swimmers at practice, the stronger our team is.
Summer Evening Practices: Begin 5/27/26
- Mondays and Wednesdays evenings 5:30-6:15pm
- To accommodate working parents and camp schedules, we will have night practices available. Summer night practice is available for all age groups except for the coach support group.
- The team will use 3 lanes (60% of the pool) for night practice and 2 lanes (40% of the pool) will be open to Harrington Falls members.
- Limited to 24 spots, first come, first serve. If you are a double working home and your swimmer will only be able to attend night practices for practice please reach out to me ASAP!
Mock Meet / Time Trials
- We will not have a mock meet this season. Instead, we’re trying something new this year:
- Time Trials will be held during the first summer morning practice on 5/26/26 so all swimmers will have seed times before our first meet. There will be an opportunity to receive 1 volunteer shift because we will need timing operators at every practice.
Fun Fridays
- On Friday mornings following swim meets, we have a team wide free swim day, 9:00–10:30 am. We will have donuts and themed celebrations, giving awards to swimmers from the previous swim meet.
Meet & Event Schedule
- Swim Meets: 5/28/26, 6/4/26, 6/11/26, 6/18/26, 6/23/26 (Tuesday)
- All swim meets are hosted at the Harrington Falls Clubhouse pool or at our opponents' pool (in the Northwest Atlanta district). For Home meets, plan to arrive at 3:30 to 4pm, and Away meets arrival is determined by the Home team. Home meets, the pool will close to the neighborhood at 2pm. The clubhouse will be reserved from 2-10 pm. Your swimmer will see the best results if they are at most practices and meets, but we do not penalize swimmers for missing a meet.
- Our official home / away schedule will be finalized after spring break by the Atlanta Swim Association
- ASA GaTech Meet:Potentially morning session on 6/25
- End-of-Season Banquet:Evening of 6/25
Volunteer Information
- Volunteer Requirement:Each family is required to complete 5 volunteer shifts during the season. Sign-ups will open at the end of April once home and away schedules are finalized.
- Chair Positions: We are currently looking for a new Photographer and T-shirt Chairman, if you are interested in either one of these positions please email me ASAP! These positions exempt you from a volunteer committee.

You’ll need goggles, however nothing fancy is required. Kick boards are provided by the team. If your swimmer has outgrown their old suit, please post on our Facebook and Instagram 2026 Buy Sale Trade Post.
Important Rule Updates for 2026
•Swimmers must be 4 years old by 5/31/26 to register for the 2026 swim season.
•Swimmers of all ages must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted to compete in 2026 swim meets. There are no exceptions. Coaches will NOT be permitted in the pool to assist any swimmers during meets.
•Evaluations to determine if your swimmer needs coach-support will take place during the first 2 days of practice. A coach WILL be in the water during evaluations for our 6U swimmers, as safety is always our top priority.
•We will still have coach-support practice! Swimmers placed in coach-support practice who are unable to swim the length of the pool will NOT be eligible to compete in meets.
•Our goal for all CSP swimmers is to “graduate” and be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted by the end of the season. Once swimmers graduate from CSP, they will be eligible to compete in meets if parents choose to declare them.
•Regardless of meet eligibility, each family is still responsible for completing their 5 volunteer shifts.
Coach Support Practice (CSP)
- Evaluation Requirement: All swimmers in the 6 & Under and 7/8 age groups must undergo an evaluation.
- Safety is Our Top Priority: Safety is our foremost concern. While we understand that some swimmers may need additional support in building their skills and strength, it is crucial to emphasize that Coach Support Practice (CSP) is not a substitute for swim lessons.
- Lesson Reminder: If you believe your swimmer requires additional lessons before swim team practices begin, we strongly encourage you to seek those lessons prior to the start of practices. We have 10 weeks till practice starts!
- Evaluation Schedule: Evaluations will take place during the first 2 days of practice in May. Swimmers are required to attend their regular age group practice time on both days to be evaluated.
- CSP Recommendations: Following the evaluations, we will email recommendations for swimmers to participate in Coach Support Practice (CSP).
- CSP Details: During CSP, a coach will be in each lane working closely with swimmers to refine their swim technique and develop fundamental strokes. The ultimate goal of CSP is to ensure swimmers are ready to graduate and train in their designated age group’s practice.
- Team Parent and Coach Discretion: It is important to note that both coaches and the team parent reserve the right to determine whether a swimmer is ready for the swim team. This is based on a commitment to safety, and any swimmer deemed not ready for swim team will not be permitted to participate. According to HOA guidelines, a swimmer who is at risk could potentially compromise the safety of the entire team. We cannot and will not take this risk.
- In the event that a swimmer is deemed not ready for the swim team, the team parent will work with you to arrange a refund for registration fees.
- Beginner Freestyle Stroke Focus: If you are new to swim team, we will focus on all 4 basic swim strokes. For Freestyle the following essential components must be present to ensure safety and technique:
- Streamlined body position to reduce drag and maintain forward momentum
- Alternating arm movements with a high elbow catch for effective propulsion
- Flutter kick for steady movement and balance
- Face in the water with the head brought up to breathe (preferably side to side), not lifting the head too high, to maintain proper stroke rhythm and form.
We take safety and proper preparation seriously, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure a successful and safe swimming experience for all swimmers.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.
