Swim Meet #1 (AWAY) Harrington Falls at Roswell Recreation

Arrival Time 4:15 pm

Location:

Roswell Rapids swim out of the outdoor pool at Roswell Area Park located at 10495 Woodstock Road, Roswell 30075. Once you enter the park, there will be signage to direct drivers to the pool area and surrounding parking. There is ample parking for all families in the surrounding parking lot.

Pool Entrance:

Your team may enter the fenced pool area via the gate that is located on the side of the pool near the Physical Activity Center (around the side of the pool with the grassy area and opposite of the pool building/locker rooms).

Team Area/Bullpen:

Your team will be allocated the grassy area adjacent to the pool deck for use as a bullpen area for your swimmers. Much of this area is covered by a shade structure.

Spectator Seating:

There are a couple of small sets of bleachers next to the pool, however, spectators are encouraged to bring folding chairs if desired. Please remain mindful of any areas that are roped off and remind your parents that they are not allowed inside the roped off areas unless they are fulfilling a volunteer job that requires them to be in that area.

Pool:

Roswell Rapids meets use a 6-lane pool. Starting blocks will be available for swimmers to use on both ends of the pool and swimmers may choose to use the blocks or not based on their individual comfort level and preference.  

Arrival Time Warm-up Times:

We would like all swimmers to arrive at Roswell Rec and be in the bullpen area by 4:15 PM. All bullpen volunteers should also report to the bullpen by 4:15 PM to help get swimmers organized and ready for the meet. Our swimmers will begin warm-ups in the pool at 4:45 PM. Please plan accordingly to help us start the evening smoothly and on time. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM.

Concessions:

A variety of concessions items will be available for purchase. These items generally include pizza, grilled burgers and hot dogs, chips, cookies, candy, a variety of drinks including Gatorade, water and soda and a Sno Cone machine. Roswell Rapids accept cash and credit cards.

Important Roswell City Rules:

NO ALCOHOL or TOBACCO is allowed on City of Roswell property.

The City of Roswell does not allow anyone in pool other than swimmers warming up or swimming their events. This includes dangling feet, etc. This is strictly enforced by the lifeguards. Please help us keep everyone safe!
